The police announced on Wednesday that operatives have begun an investigation into the kidnapping of former power minister Adebayo Adelabu’s sister and nephews.
“Only God can prevent unfortunate circumstances from befalling those children…. So we would all be praying that God will pacify the hearts of the abductors,” Soun of Ogbomoso said.
All private schools across Oyo state are expected closed on Friday in solidarity with calls for the prompt release of the kidnapped pupils and teachers.
The protester said, “You are wicked people. We will talk and you will not take action. We are tired.”
Dozens of Oriire schoolchildren and staffers were abducted by terrorists on May 15.
The command cautioned residents of the state against spreading false news.
“They should give us peace of mind. Otherwise, we will not participate in the forthcoming elections,” Mrs Olowookere, an Ibadan resident, said.

Mr Makinde disclosed that all available resources have been deployed to ensure the rescue of the victims.
Armed bandits invaded the Oriire LGA on May 15.
