Auto Crash: God saved Anthony Joshua from death, says Adeboye

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, has said that British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua’s narrow escape from death after an accident was due to the mercy of God.
The cleric said this during a sermon titled ‘The Mercy of God’ at a thanksgiving service on Sunday.
Quoting Lamentations 3:22-23, Mr Adeboye said Mr Joshua had exchanged seats with one of the deceased a few minutes before the fatal accident that killed his friends occurred.
”I read in the newspapers yesterday that our boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, exchanged seats with someone before the accident,” Mr Adeboye said. “The people he exchanged seats with died. I don’t know why, but the mercy of God said someone would still be alive today.”
Mr Joshua was involved in an accident last Monday along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway after his Lexus SUV crashed into a stationary truck.
Two people—Ayodele Kelvin Olu, a 36-year-old Nigerian-British citizen, and Ghami Sina, a 36-year-old British citizen—lost their lives in the road accident.
