Bandits kidnap couple in fresh Kwara attack

Bandits have kidnapped a couple in Kwara after invading Lafiagi in the Edu LGA.
The attack came barely 48 hours after bandits stormed the Sodo/Sawmill area in the same council, killed a resident and abducted several others.
The attack and kidnapping happened in the early hours of Thursday.
“Two persons, a Fulani couple, were taken away by gunmen early this morning. It was a midnight attack that lasted only a short time. But we could hear gunshots,” a local who did not want to be named for security reasons told Peoples Gazette.
Another resident said, “Yes, husband and wife were taken to an unknown destination. From the details gathered, the husband is in a way related to the Fulani man targeted by the terrorists in the last attack on Monday. The gunmen came into the community at midnight. I can’t really say the reason for the attack.”
The police spokesman in Kwara, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, could not immediately confirm the attack.
