Ebele Obiano, wife of the immediate former governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano, has given her account of what transpired between her and a former beauty queen, Bianca Ojokwu.

In a statement by her media aide, Chidiebele Obika, Mrs Obiano said she had approached Mrs Ojukwu for their usual friendly banter and was shocked when the wife to the late Biafran leader “slapped” and shoved her aside.

Mrs Obiano said that she wondered what could have caused so much anger and hate that a former diplomat could not manage herself in public.

Both women were on Thursday last week, during the inauguration of newly elected Anambra state governor Charles Soludo, caught fighting on camera.

Mrs Obiano had reportedly approached Mrs Ojukwu to ask what she was doing at the inauguration after saying the All Progressives Grand Alliance won’t win the governorship, but got slapped.

The incident caused Mr Soludo’s media aide, Joe Anatune, to issue a statement of apology on behalf of the newly sworn in governor to the Anambra people.
