President Buhari said nothing in nationwide address: Analyst

President Muhammadu Buhari has been criticised for saying nothing about the ongoing protests across the country.
A security analyst Victor Eke said Mr. Buhari should have adequately address the crisis, especially coming after the NSA Babagana Monguno has said something important would be disclosed.
“We have been inundated with claims that the president would make a concrete announcement tonight,” Mr. Eke said. “But this appears to be an empty speech.”
“The NSA has spoken earlier in the day and told the country something important would be said,” he added.
Lagos and other parts of the country have been in chaos since Nigerian soldiers killed protesters on Tuesday in Lekki.
The president did not address the shooting, neither did he take any immediate action to other investigation or punish anyone culpable of rights abuses.
