Buhari approves new NBC board, members include SSS

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstitution of the governing board of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), following the expiration of the tenure of the former board.
A representative of the State Security Service, a representative of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture as well as the director-general of the NBC are also members.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, the board has Bashir Bolarinwa as chairman.
The board members would represent various interests as stipulated by the NBC Act, said the statement.
The members are Wada Ibrahim, Iheanyichukwu Dike, Adesola Ndu, Olaniyan Badmus, Bashir Ibrahim, Obiora Ilo, Ahmad Sajo and Bayo Erikitola.
The board has a three-year tenure.
