Burna Boy settles rift with Davido
Another major beef in the Nigerian music industry appears to have come to an end as Burna Boy announced he is no longer vexed with co-superstar Davido.
The “Bank On It” crooner took to his Instagram story to inform his fans that he has “no issue” with Davido, assuring that they have now settled their drawn out rift.
“FYI. I have no issue with David. We are both good now,” he said.
The announcement comes weeks after Twin artists P-Square settled their own longstanding feud, sparking excitement among fans.
Burna had challenged Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale to a “one one one fight” after the latter cast slur on Nigerian artists in a social media rant.
However, Burna Boy chose the peaceful path with Davido, clarifying that “David wasn’t tryna one on one with me but we figured it out.”
In an interview with notable compere Ebuka on Bounce radio, Davido revealed his relationship with Burna Boy went sour after he posted a picture of himself and Wizkid as the “greatest of all time(goat).”
“I just woke up, saw a funny picture on Instagram with me and Wizkid, two goats of all time and I posted it no cap. Apparently Burna got angry at that,” he said.
Shortly after the Davido’s post, Burna Boy tweeted “everybody knows you don’t know how to play football, your dad bought the football team.”
Ever since then the duo have not ceased to take shady jabs at each other publicly.
Moving forward, Burna boy insists they must love themselves regardless.
“2022 all of us must love ourselves by fire by force, if not make we just kill ourselves,” Burna Boy said.
A spokesperson for Davido could not be immediately reached for comments on the development.
