Burna Boy, Wizkid nominated for BET Awards 2021
Nigerian artists, Burna Boy and Wizkid have been nominated for Black Entertainment Television awards for the year 2021.
BET Awards announced nominees for this year’s show on Thursday.
The awards show was held virtually due to coronavirus pandemic last year. But this years edition will air live on June 27 with only vaccinated audience allowed.
The duo, Burna Boy and Wizkid, were nominated in the Best International Act category alongside other artists.
Aya Nakamura of France, Daimond Platumz of Tanzania, Emilia of Brazil, Young T and Bugsey of UK, and Youssoupha of France were all nominated in the same category with Burna Boy and Wizkid.
First held in 2001, the American award show is organised annually to celebrate African American excelling in music, acting, sports and others entertainment field.
