Cardi B confirms separation from husband Offset

American rapper Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, popularly known as Cardi B, has confirmed separation from her husband Offset, a fellow rapper and member of the defunct rap group Migos.
During an Instagram live on Monday, the female rapper disclosed that she has been single for a while. The confirmation comes a few days after the couple unfollowed each other on social media.
Cardi B admitted that she was reluctant to share the news because she was unsure how people would react to it. The rapper said this was why she had been dropping hints on her stories, with posts like, “You know when you just outgrow relationships” and “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings…I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.”
“The last time I got on Live, I kind of wanted to tell you, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But this has been for a minute now, and I just feel like this is a sign. So, I wanna start 2024 afresh… open. I am curious for a new life, for a new beginning. Yeah, I am excited,” she said.
The rappers married in September 2017 and share two kids, Kulture and Wave.
During their time together, there were allegations of infidelity on Offset’s part, which had, at one point, led to their separation in 2018. Cardi B soon forgave him after his apology during her performance.
Meanwhile, earlier today, Blueface, an American rapper, accused Offset of sleeping with his baby mama, Chrisean Rock. He denied the allegation, saying he has never “talked or touched” Blueface’s baby mama.
But responding to the allegation against her estranged husband, Cardi B said, “When it comes to today’s events and stuff, I don’t think it’s true; I don’t care to find out because I have been single for a minute now.”
