Cardi B expecting first child with NFL star Stefon Diggs

American Grammy award–winning rapper Cardi B has announced that she is expecting her first child with NFL star Stefon Diggs.
The “Up” crooner revealed in an interview with CBS Mornings on Wednesday that she and the NFL star are expecting their first child together, after beginning their relationship in late 2024.
The rapper disclosed the news to the hosts, saying, “I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” and explained that her due date falls just before the Little Miss Drama tour for her upcoming album, which begins in February.
Cardi B, whose upcoming studio album ‘Am I the Drama?’ is set to drop on Friday, said, “I’m happy, I feel like I’m in a really good space. Me and my man back each other up, and we’re both killing it in our careers. Honestly, I feel like we’re the best at what we do.”
The South Bronx artist admitted she hadn’t even told her family before the interview but stressed that the timing was her choice. “I just wanted to say it on my own terms. I’m not hiding anything,” she said.
She also noted that her relationship with Diggs gives her a sense of security and helps her handle the pressure of her new album. “He makes me feel safe, he makes me feel confident,” she gushed. “And that means everything to me.”
Cardi B’s relationship journey has been one which has seen both highs and lows. She began dating Migos trio rapper Offset in 2017 and the couple secretly tied the knot that year.
With the relationship moving well a year after they welcomed their first child together, Kulture Kiari, was born in July 2018, but by December of that year, they had a rift and briefly split before reconciling.
In 2020, Cardi filed for divorce but later returned to Offset, and by September 2021, they welcomed their son, Wave Set Cephus.
The controversial relationship continued in August 2024 when Cardi again filed for divorce, only to state the same day that she was pregnant with their third child.
A month later, in September 2024, she gave birth to a daughter named Blossom. Soon after, Cardi was linked to several rumours of dating NFL star Stefon Diggs and by mid-2025 the pair went public.
Offset later released his sophomore album ‘Kiari’ that dropped in August which is named after his daughter Kulture Kiari that unpacked losing Takeoff and split from Cardi B.
Aside from the relationship drama she faced, Cardi B was the first female artist to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album as a solo act, for her debut project ‘Invasion of Privacy’ in 2019. In 2020, she was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year for her impact on music and culture.
