Chairman appeals to Sanwo-Olu on rehabilitation of major road in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA

Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State has appealed to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to approve the rehabilitation of the Amule/Ashipa Road in Ayobo community.
The council Chairman, Lukmon Agbaje, made the appeal in an interview on Saturday.
Mr Agbaje said the project would serve as critical intervention that would improve the lives of residents.
He said, “We are calling the attention of the governor, Sanwo-Olu, to the deteriorating condition of the road. It has become a source of hardship for motorists, commuters, business owners, students and other road users.”
The chairman said that the Amule/Ashipa Road was a major arterial route connecting more than 21 communities within Ayobo and its adjoining areas.
According to him, the road serves as a vital corridor for economic and social activities.
He said that rehabilitating the road would not only ease transportation, but also stimulate commerce, enhance connectivity, and improve the overall quality of life for residents.
“The rehabilitation of the Amule/Ashipa Road will bring immense relief and joy to the residents in the corridor. I respectfully appeal to Governor Olusola Sanwo-Olu, to graciously give this important road the urgent attention it deserves,” Mr Agbaje said.
The chairman reaffirmed the commitment of the council’s administration to sustaining partnership with the state government in delivering impactful infrastructure and people-centred development across the council area.
He stated that his achievements over the past eleven months had made key milestones in infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and social intervention programmes.
Mr Agbaje, however, expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, for advancing Local Government autonomy and commended the state government for fostering an enabling environment that strengthened grassroots governance.
The council chairman added that such development would enhance service delivery across the state. (NAN)
