Church Massacre: Tinubu, Osinbajo suspend campaign, in Owo for condolence visit

Presidential hopefuls Bola Tinubu and his estranged political godson Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have suspended their presidential campaigns to pay a condolence visit to victims of the Owo Catholic Church massacre.
Mr Tinubu expressed his condolences to the people of the area and the bereaved.
Messrs Osinbajo and Tinubu are facing off in the ruling All Progressives Congress’ presidential primary, along with other aspirants, to become the party’s presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked the St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo on Sunday leaving more than 50 people killed.
The massacre had forced Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to shelve his APC presidential primary election assignment to head to Ondo state.
Mr Osinbajo was also in the state to commiserate with the government and victims of the attack.
