According to him, the resurrection of Jesus is a historical fact and the foundation of the Christian faith.

Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), has urged Christian faithful to become agents of reconciliation and hope for Nigeria.

Mr Ndukuba said this while delivering a sermon to mark the 2025 Easter celebration in Abuja on Sunday.

“Peace be with you. I urge you all to become agents of reconciliation and hope for Nigeria and humanity.”

The Primate also encouraged the Christians to repent, return to God, and appropriate the gift of salvation through Christ.

He prayed for peace across troubled regions of Nigeria and the world, adding that the resurrection brings hope for individuals, families, the nation, and the global community.

According to him, Christians should pursue peace, trust in God’s promises, and let the power of Christ’s resurrection work in every aspect of life.

Mr Ndukuba said Christians should embrace the hope and peace found in Christ’s resurrection, even amid national and global turmoil.

According to him, the resurrection of Jesus is a historical fact and the foundation of the Christian faith.

“Easter is not just a commemoration of an event but a celebration of God’s faithfulness and the living hope believers have in Christ.

“Jesus’ victory over death assures believers of forgiveness, justification, and the power to overcome sin and adversity.

“Because He lives, you also shall live,” Mr Ndukuba declared, calling on Christians to open themselves to the transforming power of God that brings new life and eternal assurance.
