Condolences pour in for Liverpool’s Alison Becker over father’s death

Following the passing of his father, Jose Agostini Becker, present and former teammates of Liverpool goalkeeper, Alison Becker, have sent condolence messages to him.
Confirming the death, a Brazil police inspector, Doroteo Machado Filho revealed that Alison’s father died in Lavras do Sul after he drowned at a dam near his holiday home.
Liverpool, in the comforting message to their shot stopper via a tweet, expressed sadness at the news, saying: “The thoughts of everybody at the club are with Alisson and the Becker family at this incredibly sad and difficult time.”
His former club, Internacional, and his brother’s (Muriel) club, Fluminense also sent their messages of condolences.
Team mates, Adrian, Virgil van Dijk and even fellow goalkeeper, David de Gear of Manchester United weren’t left behind in the torrents of messages to the Brazilian.
The bereaved Becker, in appreciation of all condolences, said: “I would like to thank everyone for the messages and tributes to my beloved father. Our family feels loved by everyone.”
