Court grants Mercy Chinwo’s ex-manager EeZeeTee bail

Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court, Lagos Division, has granted a N20 million bail to Ezekiel Onyedikachi, aka EeZeeTee, the former manager of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
Mr Onyedikachi, who was released to his lawyer, Ojukwu Chikaosolu, on Wednesday, was ordered to provide a surety who resides in Lagos and owns property worth the bail amount.
Mr Onyedikachi, facing an alleged $255,000 foreign exchange fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, was given 72 hours to meet the bail condition.
The anti-graft agency had amended the 14-count charge of alleged fraudulent conversion against him to a seven-count charge of engaging in foreign exchange transactions without a licence.
