Court orders businessman to pay N133,000 rent debt
An Upper Customary Court in Daura Road, Kaduna, on Tuesday, ordered a businessman, Abdulkarim Abubakar to pay rent arrears of N133,000 before February 28.
The Judge, Patience Musa gave the order following Abukakar’s admittance that he was owing the complainant, Abubakar Jibril.
The defendant had prayed the court to give him three months period to enable him to pay in installment.
In his response, the complainant, said that he needed the money in full so that he could pay his children’s school fees.
He said, “I can only give him one month to pay up, my children have been at home because I haven’t paid their school fees.”
