For the third time in a week, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased the petrol price to N1,175 per litre amid hostilities between the U.S., Israel, and Iran.

The latest increment notice was sent to petroleum marketers and depot operators nationwide on Monday.

The petrol price per litre jumped from ₦995 on Friday to ₦1,175, an increase of ₦180.

Over the past three days, pump prices have risen nationwide, increasing transportation costs.

On Friday, Dangote Refinery increased the price per litre by N121, from ₦874 to ₦995, just four days after hiking it by N100, from ₦774 to ₦874 per litre.

Dangote Refinery had attributed earlier pump price adjustments to rising global crude oil prices and disruptions caused by the lingering war between the U.S., Israel, and Iran.
