Popular Nigerian artist David “Davido” Adeleke has said he will be marrying his baby mama, Chioma Rowland in 2023.

In a video posted on Instagram, flamboyant UK-based Nigerian cleric Toby Adeboyega was heard hailing Chioma as “our wife”.

Davido who was also in the room responded in affirmation, saying “Hundred per cent, going down, 2023.”

Earlier, Mr Adegboyega had given Chioma a Hermes Birkin bag worth $95,000.

“Thank you so much,” Chioma responded.

The cleric said necessary documents were required for the bag to travel across borders “you can’t carry the bag through the border if you don’t have this document.”

Davido hugged the cleric to express his gratitude.

In 2018, the romantic relationship between Chioma and Davido became public after the artist dedicated a song titled “Assurance” to his lover on her 23rd birthday.

He formally proposed to Chioma at a restaurant in London in 2019. The same year, the duo had their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

After the engagement Davido met Chioma’s family for a formal introduction ceremony in her family house.

The relationship however took a nosedive when rumours became rife that Davido had ditched Chioma and appeared in public with American diva Mya Yafai.

Mya later confirmed a breakup with the singer earlier in the year as Chioma mended ways with Davido.
