D’Banj donates buses for Olajengbesi’s 2027 campaign

Afrobeats star Dapo Oyebanjo, aka D’Banj, has donated three branded Sienna space buses to his lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi to support his campaign for the Oriade-Obokun federal constituency, Osun state.
Mr Olajengbesi displayed the gifts on social media on Friday, stating that the vehicles were delivered to him in Osogbo on Thursday, two weeks after the musician contacted him about campaign branding under the guise of another project.
“About two weeks ago, my great brother, the Koko Master himself, D’banj Kokomaster, called me and asked me to help him get the contact of the person who does my campaign branding, that he needed to brand a vehicle for his CREAM project designed for young creatives.
“So, I simply shared the contact with him. However, yesterday (Thursday), I received a surprise, three fully branded Sienna space buses from D’banj in Osogbo. I immediately called him. His response was simple, ‘It’s my token of support’,” Mr Olajengbesi.
The Accord candidate added, “Wow! Oluwami! Bangalee, I do not take this for granted. This is love. This is a huge support. Thank you for standing with me and for believing in this journey.
“In recent weeks, I have received tremendous support from people from different walks of life, some publicly, many quietly. Every single act of support reinforces something in my heart, this is a responsibility.”
The senior partner at Abuja-based firm Law Corridor played a significant role in the re-election victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke in August, serving as the spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council.
He is also the legal counsel of Nigerian gospel musician Mercy Chinwo and Yoruba Nation activist Sunday ‘Igboho’ Adeyemo. He represented Mr Adeyemo in his case against the State Security Service during President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime.
