Delta: 211 suspects arrested, N8.5 million ransom recovered in July, police say

The Delta State Police Command arrested 211 suspects and recovered N8.5 million from them in July 2025.

The command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a post on X on Tuesday.

Mr Edafe also disclosed that arms, ammunition, cartridges, laptops, and mobile phones were recovered from the suspects during the period.

“Delta State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, briefed the press on the achievements of the command for the month of July 2025.

“Total number of arms recovered – 18; number of ammunition and cartridges recovered – 359; ransom recovered – N8,500,000; laptops and mobile phones recovered – 378; suspects arrested – 211,” the post read.
