Ebonyi governor hails Soludo on election victory

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has congratulated Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election as governor of Anambra State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday declared Mr Soludo as winner of the governorship election held in the state on November 8.
Mr Soludo polled 422, 664 votes to beat his rivals from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) among others who contested the election.
Mr Nwifuru in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr Monday Uzor, on Sunday, said the victory was an endorsement of Mr Soludo’s sterling performance during his first term in office
He stated, “I, on behalf of the government and the people of Ebonyi, heartily congratulate Prof. Charles Soludo on his well-deserved victory at the November 8, 2025, Anambra State gubernatorial election. Your victory is a clear confirmation of the people’s confidence in your visionary leadership and intellectual depth. The victory is also a testament to your tireless commitment to the progress of Ndigbo and Nigeria. I am confident that the re-election would further consolidate your democratic ideals, good governance principles, and Igbo-centric ideology.”
Mr Nwifuru noted that as a fellow governor in the service of the Igbo region and Nigeria, he looked forward to deeper collaboration between Anambra and Ebonyi states.
He said, “This is in our shared pursuit of regional integration, economic transformation and uplift of our people.”
