Ebonyi governor okays construction of three-bedroom bungalows for 65 widows

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has approved the construction of three-bedroom bungalows for five widows in every local government of the state.
Ikeuwa Omebe, commissioner for information and orientation, Ikeuewa Omebe, disclosed this on Thursday in Abakaliki, while briefing journalists on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting.
The council meeting was presided over by the governor, Francis Nwifuru.
According to Mr Omebe, the project is for five widows per local government area of the state, bringing the total number to 65 widows.
“The project is to be executed under the Community Charter of Needs (CCD) with the intention of putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged class of widows in our society. On the Izzo/Amaeze Housing Project, the council has set up a seven-man committee to ensure the completion of the work within two weeks,” the commissioner said.
