EFCC arrests three Dubai-based Nigerians, 14 others for internet fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission says it has arrested three Dubai-based Nigerians and 14 others for internet frauds.
The anti-corruption agency stated this on its Twitter handle.
According to the statement, the suspects were arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday at different locations in Lagos, following series of details about their alleged involvement in internet fraud offences in Nigeria and abroad.
The Dubai-based suspects are Samuel Oluwasegun Olayinka, Afeez Fajumobi, and Olamide Olamilekan Olaofe.
The suspects arrested at different locations in Lekki are Amao Oluwatobi, Amao Joshua, Adeyemo Olatunde, Solomon Emelike, Lawrence Nwodu, Philip Olamilekan, Ogbenusi Ibrahim, and Kelechi Collins Ndubuka.
Others include Sadiq Adewale, John Okafor Eze, Adewale Lateef, Hassan Mohammed, Tunde Lawal, and Hussaini Adebayo.
The EFCC added that the suspects would be arraigned after investigations were concluded.
