Eid-El-Fitr: Police assure Kano residents of safety

The police command in Kano State says it is ready to provide adequate security before, during and after Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
This is contained in a statement by the command spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, in Kano on Wednesday.
Mr Kiyawa said, “We congratulate Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr, wishing them a peaceful celebration. All security apparatus in the state have been fully activated to deal decisively with anyone who tries to disrupt the peace.
āThe state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, urges parents and guardians to caution their children/wards against being used by subversive elements, and warns that anyone who disrupts the peace will face prosecution.
āThe command assures the public of its commitment to ensuring a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-El-Fitr celebration. Citizens are advised to be law-abiding, respect othersā rights, and obey security directives.”
He said unlawful behaviour would not be tolerated and urged parents to caution their children against being used by subversive elements.
