Ekiti polytechnic gets new registrar

The management of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, has appointed Abimbola Adewumi as the new registrar of the institution.
The institution’s Public Relations Officer, Martins Olowoyo, made this known in a statement on Thursday in Isan-Ekiti.
Ms Adewumi takes over from Oluwagbenga Olorunsola, whose term ends on March 2.
According to the statement, Ms Adewumi has a BA. Ed. degree in English from the Lagos State University and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from the Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti.
The statement added that the new registrar is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Management, Institute of Corporate Administration, Institute of Strategic Management, and Association of University Administrators.
Until her new appointment, Ms Adewumi was the Director of Academic Affairs at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti.
She was also the former Deputy Registrar, Continuing Education Centre, between 2021 and 2022 at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti.
Ms Adewumi was also the Deputy Registrar of the School of Science and Computer Studies between 2020 and 2021 and Deputy Registrar, Head, Human Resources Division, between 2015 and 2019 at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti.
She has served in various capacities within the polytechnic system for 27 years.
The statement indicated that her appointment takes effect from March 3.
