Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, cast his vote at polling unit 003 at Ikogosi, Ekiti West Local Government Area (LGA) of the state on Saturday.

Mr Oyebanji is seeking re-election as candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

The governor voted alongside his wife at 11:34 a.m.

Mr Oyebanji who spoke to journalists after voting urged voters to be patient with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He stated, “I appeal to our people to be patient with INEC. INEC has assured me that those glitches would be attended to.”

He added that nobody would be disenfranchised, noting that eligible voters would cast their vote.

Mr Oyebanji denied allegations of vote-buying, noting that it was mere allegations.

He stated, “He who alleges must prove.”
