El-Rufai sad as bandits kill 9 in Kaduna: Official

No fewer than nine persons were reportedly killed by armed bandits in separate attacks across communities in Kaduna State.
The gun-wielding men carried out the deadly attacks in villages at Birnin Gwari and Giwa Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, made the disclosure Thursday in a statement.
The commissioner disclosed that six persons were fatally shot by the brigands at Dogon Dawa-Kuyello road, after Ungwan Gajere axis of Birnin Gwari LGA.
“Similarly, at Ungwan Maje, also of Birnin Gwari LGA, armed bandits shot and killed two persons,” Mr Aruwan said.
However, the statement further disclosed that a resident was killed by the brigands at Kwama village while he resisted kidnap attempt by the gunmen.
The statement noted that the state governor Nasiru El-Rufai expressed sadness over the recent attack as he sends condolence message to the immediate families of the victims.
Bandits have continued to launch deadly attacks across communities in Kaduna, leading to deaths of many residents.
The activities of the brigands has also ravaged most villages while many are deprived of their means of livelihoods.
