Enugu APC trains 1,300 ward agents on e-registration
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has trained 1,300 ward agents for the APC e-registration in Enugu State.
The party also expressed confidence that it would conclude the registration before the January 30, 2026, deadline given by its national chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda.
The state’s APC e-registration coordinator, Flavour Eze, disclosed this on Saturday in Enugu while taking journalists on a tour of the four training centres where the agents were trained.
Mr Eze said the ward agents were trained to carry out the registration exercise expected to start in January 2026, adding that the party had trained five agents per ward across the state’s 260 wards.
While reminding them that they are the pillar of the party in Enugu State, the coordinator urged them to understand the training to enable them to deliver on their assignments.
“APC wants to ensure that there is no mistake during the registration because if we don’t get it right, there will be a problem.
“So, we are trying to make sure that everybody is being registered in the right way, and I am happy they understood what they were being taught.
“We are training five persons per ward, and we will still go to the villages to get canvassers on how to canvass to get more members as well,” he said.
According to him, the Enugu State governor is taking the registration exercise seriously and, as such, will support them with necessary logistics to enable them to succeed.
He consequently urged the people of Enugu State to be happy with the state government’s gesture, which has also put in place packages to empower them.
