Enugu NBA mourns ex-chairman Jude Ezegwui

The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Enugu branch, has expressed shock over the death of its former chairman, Dr Jude Ezegwui.
The NBA chairman, Enugu branch, Venatus Odo, made the disclosure in a statement on Saturday in Enugu.
He stated that the devastating news of his death was confirmed by his family.
According to him, it is with deep sadness and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of our esteemed past chairman, Mr Ezegwui, on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
“Ezegwui was one of the strong pillars of our branch who served with dedication and distinction during his tenure as chairman from 2020 to 2022.
“Prior to this, he also served the Bar as the Legal Adviser from 2014 to 2016 and at the time of his passing, Ezegwui was serving as a Council Member of the NBA Section on Business Law,” he said.
Mr Odo added that his contributions to the Bar and the broader legal profession were immeasurable and his legacy would continue to inspire them.
“We urge all members of the Bar to remember Dr Ezegwui’s immediate and extended families in your prayers during this difficult time.
“Let us extend our heartfelt condolences and unwavering support to them as we await further details regarding the arrangements for his burial.”
“Only 18 months ago, Ezegwui buried his mother, Mrs Christiana Nneka Ezegwui, who died at 82,” Mr Odoh stated.
Mr Ezegwui slumped and died in his house in Enugu.
