EPL: West Brom wallop Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

Saturday’s defeat could see Chelsea drop to 5th on the EPL table with 51 points should West Ham win its next match.

Chelsea on Saturday suffered a 2-5 defeat to West Brom Albiom at the Stamford Bridge in the English Premier League.

Chelsea’s unbeaten run since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel, who won EPL manger of the month for March, was brought to an embarrassing end as West Brom demolished the Blues.

Christian Pulisic gave the Blues an early lead 28 minutes into the game before the visiting team staged a come back moments after Thiago Silva was shown a second yellow card and sent off the pitch in the 29th minute.

Matheus Pereira fired in an equaliser for the visiting team in first half extra time (47th minute) and gave Sam Allardyce’s side the lead with another goal in the 49th minute.

Callum Robinson made it three for West Brom in the 63rd minute, while Mbaye Diagne made it four for the West Brom in the 68th minute.

Mason Mount got another consolation goal for the Blues in the 71st minute, while Robinson scored the fifth goal for West Brom.
