Ex-aviation minister Osita Chidoka to deliver keynote address at 28th Wole Soyinka lectures Friday

A former aviation minister, Osita Chidoka, will deliver a keynote lecture at the 28th Wole Soyinka Lectures on Friday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The event will also mark the Martyr’s Day of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS)- Pyrates Confraternity.
The event will have the theme “Reclaiming the Nigerian State through Accountability, Justice and Civic Courage.”
Mr Chidoka, the founder of non-profit think tank Anthena Centre of Policy and Leadership, also shared the event flyer on his Facebook page.
“I will speak on three ideas I believe Nigeria must get right if we are to rebuild the state. Join the conversation,” he wrote.
The NAS Martyr’s Day, an annual commemorative event, is a solemn occasion to honour Nigeria’s democracy martyrs, including actvists, regional figures and everyday citizens.
The event is also designed to reflect on the civic sacrifices made during the country’s long struggle against military repression and dictatorship.
The event is coming amid insecurity and other challenges confronting the country.
