FCT head of service Grace Adayilo dies

Grace Adayilo, the pioneer and first female head of the civil service of the Federal Capital Territory, is dead.

Grace Adayilo, the pioneer and first female head of the civil service of the Federal Capital Territory, is dead.

FCT minister Nyesom Wike confirmed this on Monday. 

The deceased was appointed as the head of the civil service of the FCT on October 6, 2024, by President Bola Tinubu.

Ms Adayilo was the first female HoS of the FCT. 

She had earlier served as the permanent secretary of the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat.

Ms Adayilo’s last official outing was on Thursday, representing the FCT minister at the G7 security meeting in Abuja.
