The federal government has ratified the relocation of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) from Abuja to Lagos.

A memo signed by the managing director of FAAN, Olubunmi Kuku, said the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, gave the directive.

According to the memo, Mr Keyamo also directed that the implications of the move be provided to FAAN’s management.

“The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development has directed that the headquarters of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) should be relocated from Abuja to Lagos.

”Consequent upon the above, you are requested to provide the implication of the relocation to the management,” the memo dated January 15 read.

When contacted for confirmation, the spokesperson for the minister, Tunde Moshood, told Peoples Gazette, “I’ll send you a release soon.”

This directive comes just days after the Central Bank of Nigeria’s major departments were relocated to Lagos.
