FIFA and global sportswear brand Adidas have unveiled the Trionda Final, a special-edition match ball that will be used for the semifinals and final of the 2026 World Cup.

For the first time in World Cup history, the Trionda Final special edition will exclusively replace the tournament’s current match ball and will be used in the closing stages.

Gianni Infantino, president of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), confirmed that the iconic match ball will be used in the “last four matches of the FIFA World Cup.”

The match ball is inspired by the FIFA World Cup trophy, featuring a striking white, black, and gold design.

It also incorporates the names of the final cities of the competition, which are Dallas, Miami, New York/ New Jersey and Atlanta, as well as the cities that hosted the 2026 World Cup group stage and Round of 16 matches.

The new match ball features Adidas Connected Ball Technology that delivers real-time data to support match officials’ decisions during games.

The standard Trionda match ball, introduced at the start of the tournament, was inspired by the three co-host nations, the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

It has been used in the first over 80 games of the tournament, during which more than 200 goals have been scored.
