FOMWAN honours 26 teachers in Bauchi

The Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Bauchi State chapter, has joined the global community in celebrating the 2025 edition of World Teachers’ Day.
The celebration was held at the FOMWAN Model Nursery, Primary, and Secondary School, Bauchi, on Saturday.
During the event, the association honoured 26 teachers for their 12 years of dedicated service, commitment, and excellence in shaping young minds.
The chairperson of the education sub-committee, Fatsuma Mohammed, said the awards recognised the teachers’ resilience and devotion to quality education.
In her remarks, the FOMWAN Amira, Habiba Usman, described teachers as the bedrock of all professions and urged them to sustain their efforts in nurturing future leaders.
Aliyu Mahmood, who spoke on behalf of the awardees, appreciated the leadership of the association for recognising their commitment.
He pledged that teachers would continue to bring innovation into the teaching and learning process to provide a better and more conducive learning environment.
