Four countries interested in Kano Inland Dry Port: Ganduje

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje said on Saturday that four countries – Niger Republic, Chad, Cameroon and Central African Republic have shown interest in patronising Dala Inland Dry Port in Kano State
This is contained in a statement issued by Abba Anwar, Mr Ganduje’s media aide.
“Niger Republic, Chad, Cameroon and Central Africa Republic have indicated their interests and readiness to use the Kano Dry Port for their imports and exports,” Mr Anwar quoted the governor as saying during his visit to the facility.
Mr Ganduje said the countries have all agreed to send their officials to the state for further discussions on the modus operandi of the new dry port before it takes off.
The governor also called on the would-be-managers of the port to ensure that they operate digitally.
“We are in a digital world. You should therefore make sure that you comply with digital demands and operate within the realm of global best practice,’’ he said said.
The facility was conceptualised two decades ago by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
