Four injured in Osun speaker’s convoy auto crash

The convoy of the Osun State House of Assembly speaker, Adewale Egbedun, was involved in an auto crash on their way from Osogbo on Sunday.
Mr Egbedun was not in the vehicle, but four occupants of one of the vehicles in the convoy were injured and hospitalised following the accident, which happened around Dagbolu, along Osogbo/Ikirun road, Osun State.
Three operatives of the State Security Service and the driver were in the vehicle heading towards Odo Otin Local Government, Mr Egbedun’s constituency, where he had planned to attend church service, according to The Punch.
The speaker’s spokesperson, Olamide Tiamiyu, confirmed the accident and said, “Three DSS men and a driver were in the vehicle when it happened. One of the tyres had problem, and the driver lost control of the vehicle.
“Two of the DSS men had slight cuts and were treated in a private hospital in Osogbo. The other two people in the vehicle were discharged this morning.
