Fox News journalist killed in Ukraine while covering Putin’s war

Pierre Zakrzewski, a Fox News photojournalist, has been killed in Ukraine amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Mr Zakrzewski’s death was announced on-air by Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer, who said: “Pierre Zakrzewski was an absolute legend at this network, and his loss is devastating.”
Fox News Media chief executive Suzanne Scott said on Tuesday, that Mr Zakrzewski was killed when a vehicle he was traveling in with colleague Benjamin Hall came under fire.
“Pierre was killed in Horenka, outside of Kyiv, Ukraine. Pierre was with Benjamin Hall yesterday… when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire,” Ms Scott said.
Fox News had announced the attack on Monday, saying both reporters were attacked and injured “while newsgathering outside of Kyiv in Ukraine”.
Mr Zakrzewski’s death comes after reports that Brent Renaud, an American journalist formerly at the New YorkTimes, had been killed in the Ukrainian town of Irpin.
Mr Zakrzewski had previously covered conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria for Fox News. His colleague, Mr Hall had been a war correspondent in the Middle East and Africa and is the author of Inside ISIS, The Brutal Rise Of A Terrorist Army.
Mr Hall, who sustained injuries, is receiving medical attention in Ukraine.
