The Federal Road Safety Corps on Wednesday decorated 32 newly promoted senior, intermediate, and junior officers who successfully scaled through the 2025 promotion exercise in Kaduna.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Sector Commander, FRSC Kaduna command, Tijjani Iliyasu, said the promotions were merit-based, following written examinations and oral interviews through which the most qualified candidates were elevated.

He commended the federal government for approving the exercise, noting that it would further strengthen efforts at reducing road accidents and enhancing service delivery.

Mr Iliyasu urged other officers to see the promotion exercise as motivation to work harder and prepare themselves for future opportunities.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. We expect these officers to redouble their efforts and continue to put in their best in the discharge of their duties so that Nigerians will feel the impact of their promotion. The essence of everybody working is to get elevated in his chosen career. This should challenge others to remain dedicated and committed to their duty,” he added.

Also speaking, the Zonal Commanding Officer, RS1HQ Kaduna, Ahmed Umar, explained that the promotion would come with redeployment, with some officers assigned greater responsibilities.

He congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to put in their best in discharging their duties.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Aguwa Athanasius, appreciated the federal government and the Corps Marshal, Shehu Muhammad, for rewarding their hard work, pledging that the officers would remain dedicated to their duties.

Four of the newly promoted officers were senior officers, while the others were drawn from the intermediate and junior cadres.
