FRSC pledges support for RTEAN’s safe transport initiatives

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kwara has pledged its readiness to support initiatives of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) on responsible transport practices.
The new Kwara sector commander, Musbau Irekeola, gave the pledge while visiting the state RTEAN chairman, Abdulrahman Onikijipa, at his office in Ilorin on Monday.
The road safety boss highlighted the importance of collaboration between both organisations in ensuring road safety and promoting responsible transport practices in the state.
According to him, FRSC is committed to reducing road traffic accidents in the state and needs the cooperation of RTEAN to achieve its safety mission.
“We need to work like a family to achieve safety goals. We cannot work in isolation if we want to achieve safety goals.
“We will support you in educating drivers and transport members on the importance of adhering to traffic regulations,” he said.
He commended RTEAN’s dedication to improving the standard of road transport operations in the state and urged them to continue to maintain their high level of discipline.
Responding, Mr Onikijipa expressed gratitude for the visit, noting that such an interaction was vital in strengthening the relationship between the two organisations.
He pledged the association’s full cooperation and commitment to working closely with FRSC in promoting road safety awareness among its members.
