FRSC to auction impounded, unclaimed vehicles in Sokoto

Impounded vehicles would soon be auctioned, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Sokoto Sector Command, has said, warning owners of unclaimed vehicles to come forward.
The FRSC gave the notice in a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Salisu Tureta, and made available to reporters on Thursday in Sokoto.
He said that the auction would affect vehicles that had overstayed in the custody of the corps.
The PRO said owners of such vehicles had two days within which to claim their vehicles.
”The FRSC is notifying the general public of its intention to conduct an auction in respect of vehicles and motorcycles that have long stayed in its impoundment register.
”The command is giving the members of the public 48 hours notice for those desiring to reclaim their vehicles and motorcycles to come forward with their valid vehicles documents and pay requisite levies,” Mr Tureta added.
