Apple TV’s comedy series Widow’s Bay dominated the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards with 14 wins, while HBO’s DTF St. Louis clinched seven wins, and medical drama series The Pitt finished out with six awards.

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards were held on Monday in Los Angeles at the Peacock Theater, with Law and Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay hosting the ceremony.

Widow’s Bay surpassed last year’s record held by Seth Rogen’s ‘The Studio’ of 13 for the most wins by a comedy series in a single year after it secured 19 nominations across several major categories in acting, writing and directing.

Welsh actor Matthew Rhys made Emmy history winning two Lead Actor Emmys in two different categories for the Widow’s Bay and limited series The Beast in Me.

DTF St. Louis, despite securing 13 nods, followed The Widow’s Bay behind with seven awards, which include the Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Jason Bateman winning Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, and  Steve Conrad winning two Emmys for Outstanding Writing and Directing for the show.

The Pitt went home with six awards; after securing the most nods with 25 nominations, it became the first show to win the Outstanding Drama Series for a second consecutive season since Mad Men clinched the feat.

U.S. actor Noah Wyle also became the first actor since Bryan Cranston to win Lead Actor in a Drama for the first two seasons of a series, as Pluribus secured fours awards from 18 nods while secured three awards from 24 nominations.
