GOC tasks troops of 3 brigade on professionalism

The general officer commanding 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Abubakar Wase, has charged troops of 3 Brigade Kano to be professional in discharging their constitutional duties.

The general officer commanding 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Abubakar Wase, has charged troops of 3 Brigade Kano to be professional in discharging their constitutional duties.

Mr Wase, who doubles as commander of the Sector 1 Joint Task Force Operation Fansan Yamma, gave the charge during an operational visit to the 3 Brigade, Bukavu Barracks in Kano on Wednesday.

He said, “The GOC urged the troops to uphold principles of professionalism and force protection, shun non-military practices and embrace sound administration in line with the COAS Command Philosophy.”

The acting deputy director said the Commander 3 Brigade, AM Tukur, briefed the GOC on the activities of the command.

He added that the GOC also inaugurated a renovated Corporal and Below Quarters as part of COAS Intervention Projects, toured the Brigade’s Medical Centre, and visited the 73 Battalion, Janguza Barracks, among others.
