Gov Alia donates four vehicles to Lobi Stars FC

Governor Hyacinth Alia donates four vehicles to Lobi Stars FC to ease transportation challenges.
This was announced in a statement by his spokesman, Tersoo Kula, on Thursday.
It said the governor donated the vehicles when players and team officials led by its vice-chairman, Dominic Iorfa, visited him.
Mr Alia commended the club for its wonderful performances in the ongoing Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.
“The excellent results the team has achieved have put smiles on the faces of many Benue people,” he said.
The governor urged the team to maintain the momentum throughout the season and promised to upgrade the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi, to international standard before the end of the season.
The governor said the upgrade would enable the team to start playing their home matches in Makurdi.
He described the group of players as the best and promised to continue to motivate them.
Deputy Governor Sam Ode, the chairman of Lobi Stars, thanked Mr Alia for supporting the club.
The deputy governor said the support had resulted in the team’s successes in the ongoing NPFL Season.
Mr Ode said despite scepticism surrounding the club at the beginning of the season, he propelled the club to the top, challenging for top honours in the country.
