Gov. Masari appoints new chairman for Katsina United FC

Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has appointed Surajo Baba-Malumfashi as the new chairman of Katsina United Football Club, a club official announced on Sunday.
The club’s spokesman, Nasir Gide, told journalists that Baba-Malumfashi’s letter of appointment dated April 11 was signed by the state’s Commissioner of Sports, Sani Aliyu-Danlami.
Gide added that the letter stated that the appointment was in recognition of Baba-Malumfashi’s sterling qualities and contributions towards the development of football and other sports activities.
“The appointment of the new chairman, which took immediate effect, was done based on merit,” he said.
The club official further explained that Baba-Malumfashi was the chairman of Malumfashi FC until his appointment.
