Governor Inuwa Yahaya says the plan to create 13 LCDAs draws from President Bola Tinubu’s grassroots reforms in Lagos.

Mr Yahaya spoke on Thursday in Bojude, Kwami LGA, while laying the foundation for the Kwami West LCDA secretariat.

He said LCDAs remained critical to grassroots development and effective public service delivery across the state.

“The initiative is a governance restructuring designed to bring government closer to the grassroots,” the governor said.

Mr Yahaya said the model was inspired by Tinubu’s reforms during his tenure as governor of Lagos.

“This initiative started under the President when he was governor of Lagos state. He created LCDAs, which brought development closer to the people. That is why we are following his footsteps,” Mr Yahaya said.

The governor said Gombe would continue drawing on Mr Tinubu’s development strategies to enhance service delivery and residents’ well-being. He said ongoing projects across the state fulfil his administration’s campaign promises.

Mr Yahaya urged Bojude residents to enrol their children in the newly inaugurated mega Tsangaya school, blending Islamic and Western education.

He commended Mr Tinubu for supporting the state and pledged backing for his 2027 re-election bid.

During the tour, Mr Yahaya also inaugurated projects in Dukku Local Government Area and inspected ongoing road works.
