Gov. Zulum kicks off construction of N7.9 billion West End Maiduguri flyover

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno, on Saturday, kicked off the construction of the N7.9 billion West End Maiduguri flyover, which is expected to be completed in one year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Zulum said that the execution of the project was in fulfilment of his campaign promises to the electorate.
“The government is committed to uplifting and upgrading facilities within the city; we have done two flyovers and this will be the third.
“This flyover will not only add to the aesthetic beauty of the city, but it will also help to reduce vehicular traffic and create job opportunities for many youths,” he said.
Mr Zulum urged the contractor to execute the project within the time frame agreed, saying that the government would not entertain any variation.
