Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has said prayers and other measures would be activated to secure the release of the four abducted female students of Nasarawa State University Keffi.

Mr Sule, during a meeting at the Government House on Thursday in Lafia, made the commitment to ensure that the students were released unhurt.

He said that his administration was working in collaboration with the security agencies with a view to securing the release of the girls.

“Just this morning, I spoke with the vice chancellor on what steps to take. We have been discussing with the security agencies to see to the release of these children.

“We pray that these students will be released as quickly as possible,” he stated.

He assured members of the public that the government would beef up security in and around schools in the state to protect staff and students.
