Hollywood celebrities lose homes to Los Angeles wildfires

A devastating wildfire has ravaged Los Angeles, displacing thousands of residents, including Hollywood celebrities.
Actor Billy Crystal expressed heartbreak after losing the home he shared with his wife for over four decades. Actress Jennifer Grey, known for her iconic role in Dirty Dancing, also lost her home.
Other celebrities who suffered similar losses include Eugene Levy, Miles Teller, Adrien Brody, Paris Hilton, Anna Faris, Leighton Meester, Jhené Aiko, and Anthony Hopkins.
The fires began on Tuesday and were fuelled by dry conditions, unseasonably warm winter temperatures, and strong Santa Ana winds. They quickly spread across regions like the Pacific Palisades and Malibu, making them some of the most destructive in Los Angeles history.
According to authorities, the wildfires have devastated over 2,000 buildings and resulted in the tragic loss of at least five lives. More than 180,000 residents, including countless middle-class families, have been forced to evacuate their homes.
Emergency services have been working tirelessly to contain the blaze, with President Joe Biden announcing that the federal government will assume full financial responsibility for disaster assistance. This includes expenses related to debris removal, temporary shelter provisions, and first responder salaries.
The wildfire’s impact has also reached the entertainment industry, with several high-profile events cancelled. These include the 2025 Critics Choice Awards, the premiere of Back in Action, and the Mammoth Film Festival, among others.
