Ibadan man convicted for stealing automotive propeller

The police on Tuesday dragged a 29-year-old man, Michael Akinlolu, before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing a vehicle’s propeller worth N200,000.
Mr Akinlolu, whose address was not provided, is standing trial on charges bordering on stealing.
He pleaded guilty to the charges.
Following his plea, the magistrate, Olaolu Olanipekun, adjourned the case until December 11 for a review of facts and judgment.
In the charge, the prosecutor, Musbau Lawal, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on December 7 at about 10:45 a.m. at the CAC church in Orita, Ibadan.
Mr Lawal alleged that the defendant stole two propeller irons from a Ford pickup van, valued at N200,000, belonging to the complainant, Modupe Fayose.
He said that the offence contravenes the provisions of section 390(9) of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
